Life is Good!
I’ve been telling everyone this week that life is good. God has in more ways than ever before been blowing my mind.
The worship gathering this week was incredibly humbling. The group of people there engaged in a time with God that was quite priceless. I was also invited to lead worship for the Campus Crusade for Christ at one our local colleges this past Tuesday night. We picked out 5 songs, and somehow worshipped for an hour and a half. God’s presence was amazing in that place. There was a moment where we all found ourselves on our knees not knowing if we should sing or talk or move or do anything. We just sat in the presence of the Almight, totally awestruck at who He is.
Thursday night was an amazing time of worship at a local church with some of my good friends.
Yesterday, I was privileged to speak at Garden of Prayer Church in Orangeburg, SC and then to a group of college students last night in Rock Hill, SC. Both of these times were reminders of what God’s doing on this earth. I watched as a remnant of students in both of these locations have hearts after God and want to whole-heartedly pursue an amazing relationship with Him.
Can I just say that I have the best friends in the world. Like, I really do! Like, really! These people rock my face off!!! I am so thankful to God for my friends. In the midst of a very busy week with worship leading, worship gathering, speaking engagements, and recording, I was able to take about an hour and half on Wednesday afternoon and sit out in the grass underneath the sun with some of my best friends and take a break. It was at that moment that I was reminded of God’s amazing grace towards me. I looked at my friend, Angela, and told her, “Life is so good. I don’t even deserve this!”
Yes, my life has some pain in it right now. There are some things that I wish were different. But, what rises above all of that is the all-surpassing goodness of my God.
I love my life. But that’s because I love my God, who is not only the Giver of Life, but He is my Life!
