The Worship Gathering - “Sovereign” - Week 5
In preparation for the upcoming album, a buddy of mine and I wrote a song. I was reading Amos 4:13 and came across an incredible passage of scripture that described the splendor of our God. I got together with my buddy, Adam Hardegree, and wrote a song called Sovereign. If you’d like to hear it, click on the myspace link on the right and click on the song when the Player loads.
This thought was our theme last night. I shared with everyone the story that I wrote about in the article below this one. I told them about our trip and our meeting the worship leader’s mom. Our prayer last night and our focus as we worshipped was a simple one, that we would be people who are constantly reminding ourselves that God is Sovereign and that He doesn’t make mistakes, that He has a purpose, a plan, and a design for the lives of those who choose to trust Him.
Furthermore, we repented of any time, we placed ourselves on the throne of control in our lives. And we asked God to come and sit on that throne again.
It was an amazing time. Come out next week if you’d like to. Although, be on the lookout, we may have to change locations, we’re running out of room.
