This past weekend was memorable again. Friday night was Overflow and it was amazing. For those of you that were there, thank you for worshipping passionately! Saturday we hit the road and went to Charlotte. We had a fun trip, although rainy. We led worship Sunday morning at Desiring God Community Church. We had a blast. The people there were really receptive and engaged in the worship time. After church, we had the privilege to go to the worship leader’s house and meet his mom. His mom has been battling cancer for the last 6 years. We went over there with the intention of ministering to her, but much to our suprise, we were the one’s that left ministered to. We saw a lady who has a terminal illness, but would not let one second go by without smiling. Mike Rogers, from Nate’s band Firefly Summer (check ‘em out, they’re amazing) even said that that was by far the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. We were all challenged to remember through every circumstance and every situation that God’s on the throne and that He holds everything in existence in the palm of His hands and that includes our situations. We all walked away stunned, amazed, and speechless. Some of us cried. Others of us just sat in silence, because we didn’t know what to say. It was only about 10-15 minutes of our 2 day trip, but it’s a moment we’ll never forget.
