Larry and I went out to The Affinity Gathering this weekend to lead worship. The Affinity Gathering is a yearly gathering of men that takes place the first weekend of February. There were some incredibly memorable things that happened. Coach Bill McCartney, former football coach for University of Colorado and founder of Promise Keepers joined us at the gathering this year. My dad and I were able to take a picture with him that Larry some how ended up in. I’ll post that later this week for you to see.

Friday night, we had an awesome time of worship as we sang about our God and opened with “A Mighty Fortress is Our God”. We continued in songs like “How Great Thou Art” and “Great is the Lord”. It was awesome to come together and worship with guys of different ages and different walks of life, from all over the country.

Saturday morning was another amazing time. I was able to come in contact with a guy who was a former worship leader at a church, who had been fired and was struggling with feeling of worthlessness. I was able to pray for this guy, being someone who has journeyed through the very same circumstances and emotions.

Larry was able to be ministered to as well. One of the guys that was there felt like God was going to use Larry’s keyboard playing for His use and that his music would be used to bring healing.

It was a big weekend for the both of us. We’ll be back next year. Be on the lookout!
